Yes, I had doubts, but I note that Moths of Victoria Part 9 now recognises two distinct male and female forms of A. porphrycollis. The second form they show I think looks very similar to this specimen.This specimen looks similar thorax pattern to that illustrated spcies and also has the two black dots anterior to the main large black 'reniform?'' mark.

Yes, I do agree with your comments on the elements of the wing pattern. Rather than having two forms, this species is broadly variable in both sexes.
