I went and had a look it looks similar to Centipeda cunninghamii. It keys out with leaves but need flowers and seed to confirm. It is an odd place for it though as usually Centipeda is found around edge of receding dams. Maybe drainage from the ridge has provided moisture. It flowers autumn and spring I could not see any buds. I will keep an eye out for flowers and seed. There was lots around both dams this year.
