Status: Introduced.
Size: Can grow up to 60cm, more commonly 10-15 cm.
Description: Commonly known as European perch. Laterally compressed predatory fish with a large mouth and two dorsal fins. Rough scaled to handle. Greenish brown with red pelvic, anal and caudal fins. They have five to eight dark vertical bars on their sides.
Location: Found in Murrumbidgee and Tumut Catchments. Often found in high numbers as small fish. Locally outbreaks of Epizootic Hemipoagic Necrosis Virus can cause reductions in numbers.
