The Eastern Quoll, Dasyurus viverrinus, is listed as ‘Endangered’ in Australia under the Commonwealth Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act 1999, and is listed as a Priority Species under the Threatened Species Action Plan 2022-2032

The Eastern Quoll was once widespread across south-eastern Australia but disappeared from the mainland in the 1960s. Today, it is only found in the wild in Tasmania. It has been reintroduced to fox-proof fenced sanctuaries in Victoria and the ACT.
