Corvus coronoides / mellori (Australian / Little Raven)

It is often difficult to sepearate out different species of ravens or crows from images only. This category is for all sightings that can't be positively identified to species level. Both Little and Australian Ravens occur. Some key differences include the call (shorter and higher-pitched in Little, deeper and longer in Australian) and also the throat hackles (long and distinct in Australian, less obvious ans short in Little). Little Ravens also flick their wings when perched, unlike Australian Ravens.

Corvus coronoides / mellori is listed in the following regions:

Canberra & Southern Tablelands  |  Albury, Wodonga  |  Gippsland  |  Barwon South West  |  Mackay
