Based on reference to the type photos of Lepidoscia annosella and Lepidoscia adelopis they are both old photos of very worn specimens, being little help in distinguishing bewyeeen these two species beyond saying they are mottled grey species. Therefore these two species have been merged together here as 'Lepidoscia adelopis, annosella and similar species'.
