e.g. https://bold-au.hobern.net/specimen.php?processid=ANICV540-11
but I find these tricky
https://bold-au.hobern.net/specimen.php?processid=PHLCD1755-12
has similar but paler markings
alternately there is (Epiphyas sp. ANIC4) https://bold-au.hobern.net/specimens.php?taxid=366817
which better shows the dark markings along the outer margin/termen and has the 2 dark dots on the thorax. I believe I have often got this one in southern Vic (Coburg)

Thanks for looking into it so thoroughly Wendy. Don seems to think it is not clear cut which Epiphyas species it is. I can't really contribute much here other than to say that I believe that I have seen many moths that looked just like this one.
