Thank you for the drawn-back photo that shows the cluster of mushrooms atop the tree fern. I assume that the photograph has been taken from the bridge near the cafe, since that tree fern & cluster looks like something I often walk past. There's been a group of Armillaria luteobubalina there for many days. The colour in the photo looks too rich for Armillaria luteobubalina and perhaps it's an artefact of the light or some camera setting. My identification of this as Armillaria luteobubalina is based on the drawn back photo and the assumption I mentioned above.
