Tim showed me this bolete, of which he'd taken the in situ photo (along with a smaller one). I've collected both, show the macroscopic features of one in this sighting and they will make their way into the herbarium after the obligatory two-week freezing. Once they're out of the freezer I'll have a microscopic look.

Appear much the same as those from the coast specially with the cyan colour changes in the stipe and not the cap flesh. Very interested to see your micros in a few weeks. T
