Rosa rubiginosa has prickles on the hips. I think Rosa luciae is more like Rosa sp. (A Wild Rose) (see photo of hips) but am still waiting for ID.

Does 4523584 have prickles on the hips or on the stem just below the hip? Leaflets look longer and narrower.
What I usually rely on for sweet briar is the prickly stem just below the hip but in this case here all that part of the stem seems to be always obscured.
