@MichaelMulvaney I've been following these guys (and others, there seem to be about 6 to 8) for the past 3 years and haven't found the hollows yet, but I keep looking!

Thanks for doing this, it is much appreciated. we know little about Gang-gang movement and in our area I think most pairs are yet to begin egg-laying but nest preparation is well underway. We don't know how far Gang-gangs travel from active nests, except for Baldy who on one occasion travelled 4km to forage while feeding two chicks in a hollow in Aranda Bushland. Usually he was seen within 1.5km of the nest

That's quite some distance! I've seen Gang Gangs in bush on both the north and south ends of town, but if they go that far, it is possible that they are the same birds. They definitely live here though, and they always bring a smile to my face when I hear them above me!

Yes - we think actual numbers of birds in our region is low and we do keep seeing the same birds over again
