Genus and species are completely new to me - so that's a bit exciting ! These flowers don't resemble web photos of Ricinocarpos bowmanii very well, except for one land-care group which alos remarks "Noted in Lower Adelong subcatchment in the Adelong Falls vicinity" which is exactly where my observations were made.
I've added the species here. I do agree with this suggestion, there seems to be a fair few records in this general area. In regards to your research Jane, I'm almost wondering if the population in this area could be slightly different than the main population/s further north? Seems to be a bit disjunct from the main range of the species, and I do tend to agree it does look a bit different... Maybe more research/specimen collection required?
