My previous sighting was confirmed as just h decurrens and not sub. I don’t know if anybody cares but it’s the same area if not the specially same plant

Hakea decurrens decurrens is the only sub-species that naturally occurs in our area

So should the ones that are in CNM as just hakea decurrens be changed to hakea decurrens decurrens?

Hakea decurrens

Possibly but can't rule out garden escapees or plantings

Most sightings are placed somewhat arbitrarily, so yes Lisa I would think most if not all should be moved. This idea generally of infraspecies desigination is an issue within our system more broadly and is something to think about. Other classic examples where we have been inconsistent are Acacia dealbata and Geranium solanderi where we could easily ID to infraspecies level.
