@Tapirlord would just appreciate a second opinion here, I know its not the best that its not flowering, but I think my ID might be right - if so perhaps significant. It is actually on the ACT side of the border, but only just, on the edge of adjacent woodland from the NSW property.
Agree Comesperma ericinum, It's pretty likely habitat in that area on what would have historically be drier woodland. In terms of significance this species is generally uncommon in the ACT but that is probably due to a combination of limited habitat and a lack of dedicated search efforts, all records of this species in the ACT that i'd consider credible have come from the Kowen escarpment area. Having said that, I believe is a new location.
Thanks for your comments, and yes, I am aware of quite a few other records in the general area, probably a local stronghold. I've looked for this one around my place which is a little bit to the north west along the ridgeline but never seen it there. The small cluster of plants here seems to be doing quite well with the disturbance, right on the edge of a firetrail, and the pine forest on the other side has also been recently logged. I didn't walk much further than here on that day, but it's highly possible more exist in that area, or also in some of the properties there (private, so no access).
