I believe it is what is described as Novius bellus on iNaturalist. Looking at the figures at http://treatment.plazi.org/id/03EEFD2AFFA6FF84FEC81D7FD5D83A39 it appears right. This is one I found confusing to find on the list here, as it is such a different name.
This beetle also has seemed to discover some miniature black holes or wormholes as it went underneath the leaf and then vanished into thin air. Hence terrible photos.
