User's notes

Thanks to Barbara for the initial sighting of this small shrub, which was growing close to the ground beneath a larger shrub. It was the only flowering shrub of this type seen in the area.

Can you keep an eye out for insect visitors to the flowers. Ta. Roger

We definitely will Roger. We had a close look at a lot of the flowers along the Mt Tennant trail and the only insects we saw were a few medium sized flies, some European Honey Bees and a lone European Wasp. The Leucopogon attenuatus had no insects on the flowers during this sighting. Tim

Attenuatus is flowering all over the southern ACT at the moment. esp places like Waniassa & Farrer Hills and Melrose and Tuggeranong Hills. All I have seen on the flowers so far are a bristle fly and a muscid fly
