Hi Toitjie, many thanks for posting this. At 1212 m ASL, yours is one of the higher records for the species, and an especially cold location for any goanna. Did you know we can identify individuals from good photos of their left or right faces?

I'm curious about the date and time of your sighting. I thought it had been raining yesterday afternoon in that area but the road looks quite dry, so maybe I am wrong about the weather. Is the date correct?
