Any idea what these tiny black things on the calendula marigold leaf might be? Could it be some weird type of poop? Could it be some weird type of eggs or larve of something? They were about 2mm - 4mm long, I think. (NOT a feed station -whatever that is, nor a water station - but it said I had to put one of them, as it is only about the weird black things of the leaf)

Yes: typical caterpillar excreta, so should search under leaves and in soil at foot of plant for culprit.
