User's notes

Unsure what this 3mm long insect is. It was very active and appeared quite ungainly as it worked its way up a tree trunk, with its relatively large rear legs protruding out sideways.

Flea beetles are prodigious leapers. The hind femora (thigh segments of the legs) house the muscles that power these leaps.
