User's notes
The large insect was on a separate but adjacent tree to the three small creatures which looked a bit like anemones. I could not get under the 'anemones' with the lens. Some of the 'tentacles' hanging off the rear of the larger insect looked similar to the 'anemone tentacles' so I am guessing wildly that the four may represent some sort of breeding event.

The small 'anemone' ones are a different insect - larvae of a ladybird beetle.

Another theory bites the dust. Thank you. As it turns out the ladybird beetle larvae are not all that far from an adult ladybird beetle record in the Atlas.
