patch of young plants, even-sized (even-aged) and about 1 m high. Just beginning to flower: probably for the first time, as there are no old fruits present
Most likely garden escapes; species is fairly frequently cultivated in gardens. The ACT Census of vascular plants 2019 lists Melaleuca parvistaminea as Exotic [Aust] Melaleuca parvistaminea MYRTACEAE Exotic [Aust] 2010 B.J.Lepschi 3916 et al.
I saw that the M. paristaminea sighting on Mt Ainslie lists the species as a local species. Do you use the Census or other sources for decisions on status?
Hi moderators the Census lists the species as Exotic [Aust] and the common name as Rough Paperbark; see below the entire entry: Melaleuca parvistaminea MYRTACEAE Exotic [Aust] 2010 B.J.Lepschi 3916 et al. Rough Paperbark
