I checked out the shrub earlier today; the fruits are smooth so it's Hakea sericea (a native weed on Black Mountain); Hakea decurrens (occurs naturally on BM) has warty fruit.

I don't normally change names this often but ... last week I checked the herbarium specimen I took from the plant you photographed, originally intending to change it's name to H. sericea. However, when I checked its flowers they are definitely those of H. decurrens, and the fruit on the specimen were more warty than smooth. Nice that 'nature' keeps me on my toes!
