The Noctuid caterpillars are easy to spot and too similar to identify.
I think we a new species : "Noctuidae sp. unclassified IMMATURE"

Thank you donhe is there an estimate as to how long until we would be likely to see the adult moths and would they be visible during the day? We have found other caterpillars like this one since I posted the pic

To find the species of a caterpillar, you have to take it into captivity and rear it to get its adult moth, otherwise you do not know what caterpillar turned into what moth. Noctuid moths usually emerge in the spring, and do not fly in the daytime.
