User's notes

Size comparison against a meat ant. Very red in colour not quite evident in photos. Sorry for poor quality. Very tiny and quite active. Kept flying to new branches. Then lost sight of it.

Hi Michael, the shape of this beetle is different to the images I Googled for your suggestion. The body on this beetle was round - like a little button.

It looks similar to sighting 4257035, also suggested as this species.

Ok, thanks for the comments. If I remember rightly, I was mainly trying to get it out of Unidentified Insects into Unidentified beetles. We had a few beetles that were sitting in Unidentified Insects, without being classified as beetles. Such as:

Thanks Michael for sorting through all these sightings - it's a huge job!

Thanks Michael. I think I've just identified this as a further bug. I identified this sighting down to Leaf beetle category, which should have put it in Unidentified beetles. I'll let Aaron and Rohan know. This perhaps relates to all identification fields being required fields in edit mode.

Hi Alison I've reported this issue to them too because it affects several pages. It is helpful that you have reported also, since it is an extra voice. They have done some work on it but good to keep am eye on it.

Hi Alison
I did a test this morning and it was ok. But the older sightings may still be stuck in Unidentified insects.
