Can you suggest a species? It is different from the other Setaria on the timeline.

I didn't think it looked like Setaria, too fat. But I thought maybe it was the photo angle. I have tried to Undo the confirmation but that didn't work. If you think it looks different, could you please collect a specimen and get it ID'd.

Hi Mike, by a bit of trickery I have successfully put this sighting back in Unidentified Grasses. It may well be Setaria sp, but awaiting ANBG ID when you have time, maybe in summer.

Pale Pigeon Grass (S. pumila) flowerheads are typically short and fat with prominent bristles reddish-brown or brown at tip and pale at base. Photo of flowerhead on PlantNET (if anyone is using it for ID) is wrong; that is S. parviflora.
