Hoping these photos provide enough information for an ID. The nuts pictured are not from this tree, but an adjacent tree (they fell away as soon as I touched them).
It might be Callitris oblonga subsp. corangensis. The map position appears to be somewhere about the Corang River tributaries. See Callitris oblonga subsp. corangensis (Pygmy Cypress Pine) on 16 Feb 2020 I am afraid the nuts in photo 3 are gumnuts.
Thank you Betty. I don't think it is? The tree is much bigger, and there are no fruits on the trunk or limb as there are on the oblanga. I'll keep my eye on it and post as soon as I see anything. And yes - I felt a bit foolish when I realised the nuts were not from the tree itself!
