User's notes

Possibly 5mm, at least two of these, very active in the leaf litter. Difficult to spot unless they ran or jumped, appeared a goldy colour at first sight.

Hmm. Missed this post last year. Considering the date (late DEC, end of Maratus season locally) I would suggest we have here a very old male Maratus pavonis that has lost most of its colourful setae/scales. Legs3 are still indicative, as are pedipalps. I have seen numerous species of male Maratus at the end of their lives and they bare little resemblance to them in their prime. This fulla is still dancing though, pavonis style!

Thanks Stuart, I will have to go back a bit earlier in the season and see if I can find one in full colour :)
