User's notes

A pair of sacred kingfishers were hanging around this stand of trees on the northern side of where the powerlines run through. Whenever they would get too close to some wattle birds at the eastern end they would get chased away, but did not leave the site completely. I confirmed two, but it is possible there was a third, as the two that I photographed seemed smaller than the possible third one. This occurred while we were walking the dogs, and it was fortunate enough that the sun started to set and one of the birds was happy enough to sit in the glow for just a little bit.
