I now suggest this is G. acedesta not G. punctigera., assuming all the photos are of the same individual.

These 5 photos were taken over a 2 min period on 8 Feb and are all the same specimen. Another 4 photos exist if you want to have a look but I considered them inferior. Please also see #4202072 and #4203079

The white scales extending from the head, and the dense scale patterning on the wings seem to indicate a female. My understanding of the superficial differences between females of G. punctigera and G. acedesta are that
1. the forewings of G. punctigera have less colourful pigmentation than G. acedesta, and
2. the wingspan of G. punctigera (wingspan 3-4 cms) is less than that of G. acedesta (wingspan 4-5cms). This latter is hard to check as the observer gives no size information.

What about the white wings spot surrounded by reddish-brown then black. Does that not indicate G. acedesta rather thang. puncitegera which is different?
