User's notes

About 6 mm long. Showing a great deal of interest in a weevil on the ground. Is it some type of Sand or Digger Wasp?

J, the adult flower wasp feeds on nectar ("fuel"); the female lays eggs on beetles. The wasp larva needs protein (meat) for development, not just carbon.
