Hi Mike There is a two Leptospermum species and possibly a third scattered around that area on Farrer and Wanniassa. It is hard to tell from your photo L.continentale has prickly leaves it looks more like L. brevipes which has a similar form to that in your photo.
From the spent flowers, it could be Kunzea ericoides. Though in less faded flowers than I suspect these are, the stamens are much longer than in Leptospermum.
