I am now suggesting this is A, gerula not A. aglossoides. Moths of Victoria (MoV) provide a usefful key to separating the Aglossoides species. See 'Diatenes.pdf' accompanying MoV Part 8, The third forewing transverse line out from the base has a 'double bubble 'kink one bubble of which is rounded and larger in A. gerula. Also the main outer hindwing line is slightly curved and smooth in A. gerula compared to fairly straight and not smooth in A.aglossoides. A.gerula is usually generally grey in appearance as compared to A. aglossoides which is brownish. A. gerula has a widespread Australian distribution.
