Rosemary Is the Kunzea ericoides an escape from the Botanic Gardens? I had discussions reg whether it is a local species and whether it would be appropriate to plant; it has been planted on Mt Pleasant recently. There is one record for Mt Majura which might be an escape from the Federal Highway plantings records from three locations on Mt Ainslie. Many thanks.
Kunzea ericoides occurs naturally on Black Mountain. The Gray and McKee species list for the area published in 1969 listed it as widespread and common at that time. I'm guessing it would also be native to the Mt Majura - Mt Ainslie area.
