Counting the number of needles bundled together can help with pine ID

Pinus radiate has three needles that emerge from a common sheath. Features of the cone will also help to ID this species. If it is a wildling in an area near mature P. radiata, then in all likelihood, it will be that species. If unsure, seek further advice.
