This is a poorly marked, apparently worn specimen, but it suggests to me, give the general pattern of markings that it could be Agrotis ipsilon, Black Cutworm. I have seen other better marked similar specimens locally, flying now. i.e at O'Connor (25/09/2017) which look like A. ipsilon. References say this species over-winters in warmer climes, but specimens could well have been blown in on the strong NW winds recently.

I'm pretty sure it's a Noctuid, but don't think it's A. ipsilon. I also don't think it's another of the variable A. porphyricollis.
