On the western side of the Murrumbidgee River, north of Tharwa....... Size - body length 16mm.

The spine-like hairs on the legs and the uniform width of the hind tarsus indicates that this is unambiguously a wasp. The size and shape suggest to me that this is in the family Sphecidae. It may be useful to note that the body length for bees in the genus Exoneura is generally no greater than 7 mm.

I thought it was a wasp. We are doing rather poorly in the wasp department. Is there any chance of getting assistance there?
