Unfortunately I couldn’t get back to these until today (Fri) and they are now just a pile of black decomposed material due to the heat this last week :-(

When I look at this enlarged I can see several white stems and, if I couple this with the gregarious growth, the cap colours and the white granules on the cap surfaces I'm led to one of the Inkcaps with a veil - ergo, Coprinellus/Coprinopsis. But Tina's advice about different angles is still good - since such extra views will give more confidence to any ID.
