Hi Lesley
The location given is in a suburban garden, but the pictures look like the edge of a dam. Can you please fix the location.

What height were the plants? The leaves and flowers look OK for Centipeda cunninghamii, which grows to a maximum of 30 cm tall, but the plants look far too tall.

yes I am not sure how the location came up as a suburban garden!!?? I was on Mt Taylor. That is not good!
