Rosemary Purdie has just told me that the 2012 key separated stricta from calycina on the basis of the types of hairs on the calyx (sepals). Simple hairs (not branched and not several coming from a single point) overtopping star hairs (several hairs coming from a sinle point) for calycina, only star hairs to no hairs for stricta.
Although the photo is not sharp, it looks to me like there are simple hairs on the calyx of the buds on the lower left hand side, which would make it H. calycina.
