Harvey, you are turning up some very interesting flies. There are eleven subfamilies of Asilidae some species-rich, other less so and not all the subfamilies likely to be encountered in this region. The differences between these subfamilies are subtle. This is either Dasypogoninae or Dioctriinae the character that separates these is whether the fore tibia has an anteroventral spur or not and it's not clear from the image.
