If this is not an introduced native to the ACT then I suspect this could be Acacia dealbata, does it have a hairy main leaf stalk?. If not then you could be looking at Acacia decurrens, but perhaps less likely looking at the foliage colour.
I have worked out this is Acacia cardiophylla, not native to the ACT. One of the Parks rangers found more on Mt Taylor (possibly the ones recorded on Atlas of Living Australia. Present on Isaacs Ridge too. The ACT Plant Census says 'doubtfully naturalised' but that might need updating.
Yes, I've now looked at it on a better monitor and the pinnules appear to match those for Acacia cardiophylla on PlantNET and it is not a plant I've seen before. Too identify the local Acacias from photos is a bit of a challenge, but to have to go through the whole Flora of NSW Acacia key without a specimen in front of you is a tough one. Anyway it is a species I will now look out for!
