Mike the long narrow phyllode and cylindrical flower head suggests Acacia longifolia - need closeup of phyllode to be sure it should have several prominent longitudinal veins, with the secondary veins branching out to form a complex
The phyllodes and flower heads are quite different from the ones further south in Isaacs Pines so I didn't think they were the same. I have found another closer to home which differs only in habit. PlantNET shows the species is variable but Isaacs seems to have two distinct variations.
A site visit on 23 Sep 2017 confirmed Acacia floribunda. Many small specimens were noted over a wide area, with the obvious sources being large trees in nearby gardens and from a laneway leading from Kaepel Place onto the reserve.
