An owl and ducks were heard; Size: 32 m�; Aquatic Veg: Specimen 3 grew in the pond, but most abundantly around the edge. The dominant pond weed had its roots in the mud and leaves lay flat on water surface (Specimen1). Much smaller quantities of specimen 2.; Bank Veg: The pond was ringed by mud. Dead reeds (specimen 3_ were in it and the pond. Most reeds grew on slightly drier ground and surrounded 2/3 of the ponds circumference; Overhead Canopy: No direct overhead canopy, but several E.blakeyi grew about a metre from the edge; Landscape: Mostly grassy woodland. Several large eucalypts had signs of fire damage. There was a lot of young eucalypt and youn cootamundra wattle regrowth on slopes; QAQC Notes: Audio microcassette, Photo printed colour, Tape recording on mircocassette is difficult to hear - I don't know how to make it normal speed.
