User's notes
Not sure what this was so have placed it under 'Fungi' for the moment as it appeared to have some of the characteristics of a fungus. This appeared to be a bird dropping on a leaf in both size and shape but close inspection showed a distinct growth of cone shapes on top of branched stalks, with these appearing to grow together in a uniform direction. It also appeared that some of these shapes were starting to grow out of the base 'mass' whatever that was. It had recently rained so not sure if this started off as a bird dropping and a fungus had grown out of it. One for the experts. (See later follow-up sighting 4640613).
