User's notes

Leek orchid in Ginini Flats. Unsure if Brindabella, Tadgell or Subalpine variety. There was another orchid near this one that was done for the season, but unsure if it was the same (see last pic). GPS approx only

Prasophyllum montanum occurs under a canopy and is a much taller and more robust plant. The green species in the herb fields are either P. tadgellianum or P. sphacelatum.

I find tadgellianum is more common up here and flowers later, but otherwise could be either?

I am not sure. The two seem fairly similar. I based my ID on the relatively intact leaf.

@Tapirlord I had Lachlan ID some P sphacelatum for me last week, so it is still flowering. @MattM I could ask him, if you'd like?

@Csteele4 that would be great. But might see if @TobiasHayashi has any thoughts.

I find it difficult to ID these based on photos, but seems to me to be P sphacelatum. Flowers seem large enough and tepals and labellum seem elongate enough. Leaf tip hard to see except in the photo where flowers have finished flowering, and there it is withered.

Thanks Tobias.

Thank you all. Are there any tips for photos that would have helped with an ID? Cheers
