So - I thought I was safe to go out in the bush near Braidwood. Still, I sprayed on some precautionary insect repellent (lots of DEET :( ), but not as much as I would at the coast. I was surprised and horrified to feel a familiar itch, and discover that there are, indeed, ticks in Braidwood. Be warned!
