A new species for NatureMapr and NatujreMapr's Canberra and Southern Tablelands region when confirmed. Interestingly, LBH records that the larvae of this moth species is known to feed on Fragrant Doubletail (Diuris fragrantissima) - an endangered species knwn from grassland west of Mellbourne, Victoria although, of course, there may be also other plant species the larvae feed on.
Excellent photos.

Think there were Diuris sulphuea in the general area, along with sun orchids

Specific name jocularis and common name The Jester, but possibly no laughing matter. Good sighting.
