Saw your eagles today (8Aug2024). When the sitting parent left the nest I heard, what I assumed to be, a nestling. Again, I heard the same sound when the parent returned a few minutes later. Being some distance away and having never heard a baby wedgie before I am obviously somewhat unsure. Fingers crossed they will have another successful breeding season.

That is an exciting news. There is a lot of feed for the Eagles in this area.. as both sides of the river are been developed it is pushing the kangaroo populations to be more dense in the river reserve. Unfortunately there are a lot of injured kangaroo in this area, that have been hit by cars. But there is a lot of foxes in this area to.. which may prey on the Eagles if that land on the ground. Hope someone can research this nest this year.
