Paul this is exciting! It could well be A.euryphylla but given how sparse NSW records are I'd prefer at the very least to see a flowering specimen. Probably it would be best to take a specimen to the herbarium.

It may be Galium murale, particularly if there are whorls or 4-5. The Asperula should be more or less uniform 6 as I understand things.
