in a weedy patch, with a few serrated tussocks, blackberry nightshade and cleavers under native cherries, a few thistles, umbrella sedge and a few briars along the gully

No, we worked at the same site as the previous week not far from the bridge and near the active rabbit warren in the creek bank. Harriette and I walked upstream from there and this was the first weedy site we found.

did you and H remove the PC? Margy told me the site of previous Monday is pretty much done (hand weeding) and ready for cleavers spraying and mapping (herbaceous weeds).
